About Medieval Halberds:
Halberds were mainly used by the Swiss and German but they were also very common throughout the entire European continent by regular soldiers and guards. A halberd is a two-handed pole weapon which is between 4 to 6 feet in length. The halberds were popular as they were very cheap to manufacture and not that difficult to use. Halberds were very effective against mounted horsemen.
Our medieval halberds are faithfull reproductions of the halberds used by the Swiss armies and German soldiers during the 14th and 15th century. The halberd blade is made of high carbon steel and it is mounted on a seared wooden shaft and reinforced with two metal strips along the top portion of the shaft.
